Praying for paradise
When I was a child, my grandmother took me to the cemetery with her. She would sit next to the tombstone and draw a window on it with a piece of stone and hit the window with the same piece. She said that the dear dead man sees through the window that we pray for him. She turned to the sky by reciting a few Arabic words and said: God forgive him. Pilgrimage ceremonies and receiving gifts for the happiness of their souls bring better hope for living in a more beautiful land. After all, in the small frame of my camera, the prayer of forgiveness connects heaven to earth.
